Business Development Executive Job Opportunity with Searcy's at the Barbican

We have a wonderful opportunity to work with Searcys at the Barbican as a Business Development Executive.

Main Purpose: To proactively identify opportunities and convert enquiries to achieve the annual events budget

Key Responsibilities:

 Account Management 20%

Proactive Business Development 40%

Reactive 40%

 

To proactively identify, develop and convert revenue from new business leads

To proactively develop and maintain relationships with key accounts to maximise sales opportunities

To assist with reactive sales function when required

To produce a regular sales report on your activities

To attend regular sales team meetings

To undertake regular competitor analysis

To stay fully updated on market trends and conditions

To identify and attend networking events, promotions events, exhibitions, trade shows

To work to agreed KPIs

To manage the venue booking and CRM system to ensure accurate reporting

To work towards the annual sales and marketing plan 

To represent Searcys in a professional manager at all times in your behaviour, appearance and knowledge

To drive the referral system and refer business as appropriate to Central Sales

To gain a good knowledge of other Searcys venues and maintain good working relationships with colleagues

To ensure work is to the “Searcys Sales Competency Standards”

To work as a team and lead by example

To manage and train direct reports (if necessary)

To perform any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager

 

Skills Required

 

Proven track record of driving sales into a venue

Strong business acumen

Excellent communication skills

Target driven

Self-motivated

Strong current understanding of events business/industry

Excellent time management

Strong presentation skills
