In Focus: St Pauls Cathedral
Widely considered to be one of the world's most beautiful buildings and a powerful symbol of the splendour of London but do many people know St Paul's Cathedral is also a breath-taking events venue. The event spaces contain some of the oldest and most beautiful architectural features in the Cathedral and have been transformed into versatile venues ideal for corporate hospitality.
“We work with some of London's most prestigious caterers to offer a bespoke service and great attention to detail as well as recommended suppliers who can provide lighting, flowers and entertainment” comments Cressida Peers
Guests are also able to experience the grandeur of the building with private tours and musical performances, which can also be organised to make your event even more unique and memorable.
“St Paul's is the most iconic and well known building in London. Locals, ex-locals, UK visitors, visitors from abroad identify St Paul's as a symbol of London and with it's vast history also reflects the history of the City. Inside St Paul's there is something for everyone to be wowed by. The Cathedral has maintained it's mission as a centre of Christian worship, education, music and outreach - events at St Paul's are not just about great food and wine (although we can do this pretty well too) they are the height of exclusivity where guests can experience first hand the history and splendor of a living and working Cathedral.”
Cancer Research UK is one client that has been taking advantage of the venues unique offer by organising a charity Christmas Carol concert for 2400 followed by a gala dinner and auction for 250 distinguished guests in the Crypt.
Fundraising, creating a buzz and offering a unique experience with the wow factor was top of the agenda for Cancer Research UK and the option for a public concert upstairs followed by a very different event in the Crypt, mixing the classic Cathedral with the opportunity to be more creative downstairs made St Paul’s Cathedral the perfect venue for them with the event being a brilliant success in the process
“Funds raised were well above target and guests left feeling uplifted and all enjoyed the experience” comments Cressida
“Fantastic teamwork from all suppliers and Cathedral staff in organising the logistics of a major service in one area of the Cathedral and a huge set up in another area all whilst daily services and visitor access remains made the event really stand out for me. Everything looked brilliant too and the lighting, flowers, food were also excellent.”
The success of the event has resulted in a repeat booking for the venue and its not just Cancer Research UK that are raving about it either with compliments coming in from other clients including:
"I just wanted to drop you a line to say a HUGE thank you for such a wonderful evening at St Paul's last week, our clients had a whale of a time. Thanks also for allowing us to descend the geometric staircase, a stand alone highlight for everyone. We have lots of clients for whom this tour would be perfect so I look forward to repeating it in the near future and working together again"
(Chris, Love Art London, Private Evening Tour)
“Thank you very much for your support on the lead up to the event and on the evening itself. You were very supportive and nothing was too much of an ask, which is exactly what we needed! I have only heard positive comments from both the guests when they were leaving and Andre himself. I hope to work with you again in the future!”
(Sophie, Hampton Medical, Private View, Crypt Dinner)
