230 Bishopsgate

Established in 1895, the Bishopsgate Institute is a stunning Grade II listed venue in the heart of the City, just a minute's walk from Liverpool Street.

A historic meeting place in a remarkable building
230 Bishopsgate, the home of Bishopsgate Institute is a place for ideas and debate, learning and enquiry based in the City of London, just near Spitalfields Market. We have been offering talks, concerts and courses, as well as a library in our stunning Grade II* listed Arts and Crafts building since it was established in 1895.

Our dedicated events team offer you bespoke solutions for your event needs. We can host conferences, meetings, launches, examinations and concert rehearsals, as well as more intimate meetings and training sessions in our beautiful building.

Diverse spaces
Our recently renovated Great Hall is a flexible and rare large capacity space in the City of London, and our original Victorian Boardroom suite offers options for smaller meetings.

The original library reading room is now the Upper Hall, a dry hire space for examinations and themed events.

The Courtyard room has a secret patio for summer breaks and large interactive whiteboard monitor, perfect for meetings and training sessions.

The studios located on the lower ground floor are perfect for creative breakout sessions.

Your meeting will be supported by our event operations manager. We offer a great choice of menus for varying budgets and our caterers are always delighted to create a menu especially for you. For your convenience, we also offer our rooms on a dry hire basis.
